This past month, 10 year old Ashtabula native Oliviah Hall made a stop at Lava Room, accompanied by her father, to record a couple of her favorite songs. Described as an energetic, outgoing girl who loves to sing and dance, Oliviah showcased that and more during her recording session with engineer Mike Pfaff. In 2017, she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor and has undergone multiple treatments and surgeries with hopes of getting rid of it for good.

During her session, Cleveland singer/songwriter Marina Strah made a special guest appearance surprising Oliviah, who is a big fan of Strah’s music. They were able to sing a duet together, which Strah said was “one of the most special moments spent in the studio” and added that Oliviah is “literally the coolest kid I’ve ever met. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to experience so many moments with her”. We have to agree.
