About
Lava Room Recording
Founded in 2003 by musician, engineer, and producer Mike Brown, Lava Room Recording is Cleveland’s premier recording and production studio.
While born and raised in Cleveland and a graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston MA, Mike Brown strategically built a business that has grown and become locally and nationally recognized in the recording and entertainment industries. Lava Room Recording was the first multi room recording facility in Cleveland to bring both Pro Tools HD recording software and a 56 channel large format analog SSL 4000 G+ mixing console into town. With the development and expansion of the studios, Lava Room began attracting notable major label clientele and established a reputation as a nationally competitive recording facility.
Lava Room Recording was originally located on Cleveland’s westside in the old American Greetings building in 2003 but soon outgrew its space. In May 2008, Lava Room relocated to 5000 Euclid Ave which is attached to the historic Cleveland Agora theater and concert club. Lava Room Recording currently resides in the same space and original location as the famous WHK radio station (1951) which was the 1st radio station in the U.S. to broadcast 1000 watts. Following a major studio upgrade and overhaul in 2013, Lava Room Recording is actively working with artists in all musical genres as well as commercial audio and film industries.
