David Rosen has been working on his first full length album, “Ordinary Miracles”, at Lava Room since November. The album will be a two disc set with 17 original songs and 2 covers. A refreshing difference throughout this album is the eclectic mix of genres in addition to every song having its own unique style. This material was written over a 30-year period of time, some as far back as the early 1980s, and some as recently as a couple of years ago.
David has been performing since the mid 1970s. He has recorded and toured worldwide with Elvin Bishop, Peter Tork, David Rea, and many other artists. He had been writing music that entire time, and knew he would make a record “someday”, figuring that since he played most all of the instruments himself, he could do it in his home recording studio. But eventually he realized he needed someone who could get the sounds and engineer at a level he just wasn’t able to do on his own. That’s when he went in search of the right studio to make it happen. When he found Lava Room Recording, he instantly clicked with our Studio Manager/Producer/Engineer, Chris Ebbert, and believed that Chris really understood what he wanted to do with this album. After extensive pre-production and home demos, they began tracking with the legendary Joe Vitale on drums. Joe has been the drummer for the Eagles, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, John Lennon, Joe Walsh and dozens of some of music’s biggest names. Joe heard the demos and was very enthusiastic about bringing his skills to Lava to help David make this a reality.
A wealth of creative ideas has been coming out of Studio A during these months of tracking. It’s been a huge project, a lot of hard work and many incredible great memories have been made along the way. Ordinary Miracles will be available soon! Visit www.OrdinaryMiracles.com.
