Many of you have heard the sound of a Saxophone whipping through the Cleveland streets every summer for decades. More often than not, that beautiful alto sound was being blown by the Sax Man himself, Maurice Reedus, Jr. The late Reedus leaves behind a legacy that Clevelanders will remember for years to come. Hearing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” on your way to the Jake (Progressive Field), or the calming melody of “Careless Whisper” as you walked through the streets on a night out to Playhouse Square, became an inherent part of the sound of our city.

In 2014, the legacy documentary “The Sax Man”, directed by Joe Siebert and produced by Todd Bemak, premiered at the Cleveland International Film Festival where it received the ‘Local Heroes’ award. Shortly after Reedus’ passing in April, the film struck a deal for national distribution.

We were honored to be a part of recording and mixing the final concert scene of the feature film. It was an exciting and humbling experience that we’ll never forget. Congratulations to all involved on the hard work to keep the Sax Man’s legacy alive. You can find ‘The Sax Man’ on DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Dish Network, Cox, Comcast and Verizon.
