On Friday, October 9th, rapper Mac Miller made a surprise visit to Lava Room Recording after his show at the House of Blues Cleveland. The Pittsburgh, PA native is currently on tour for his 2015 album release titled, GO:OD AM.
Mac Miller is an artist with an impressive background, teaching himself how to play several different instruments such as piano, guitar, and drums all at an early age. Miller started rapping as a 14 year old and over the years he has quickly evolved into a hip-hop superstar at the age of 23. Mac Miller began his professional career after signing with Rostrum Records, an independent label out of Detroit, in 2010. Mac Miller is now a major label artist after signing a deal for himself and for his record label, REMember Music with Warner Bros. Records.
Miller worked in Studio A with engineer Mike Pfaff during the 5 hour session that started at midnight. He spent the session writing and creating instrumental tracks as well as laying down piano and vocals for pre-production.
